Lazy days of summer

We have been taking full advantage of Grandma and Grandpa Best's lake house this summer.  We've been floating away the days on the new floating dock, working up an appetite riding the jet ski, tubing, kiyaking and fishing.  We've watched the sun set on many an evening cruise and satisfied our sweet tooth with frequent boat rides for ice cream.  Matt and I love watching the kids enjoy Indian Lake.  It feels like our special place and it warms our hearts to see their pure joy when we are there!

Don't be fooled by this peaceful picture . . . Coop has done his part to tear it up at the Lake.  Including, but not limited to throwing in Sophia's sunglasses, his own Spiderman fishing pole and just about whatever else he can get his hands on.  He knows that throwing things in may likely result in losing it forever, but the reaction he gets from the crowd seems to be worth it.  Ornery much?

First time kiyaking!  Once they got the hang of it there was a race back to the dock. Meggie and Daddy took the win!

Snacks by the Lake and those beautiful blue eyes . . . what more could you want on a sunny day?

This boy is a DARE DEVIL!  He loves to ride backwards on the jet ski, drive the boat (all by himself!), stand while tubing, back flip off of the boat and has already begun begging to ski and wake board.  His face says it all!

Coley is a little more subdued on the Lake. He loves tubing, but holds on tightly . . . no tricks or craziness for him.  He tends to be a little more careful then his wild brothers but he still knows how to have a good time!

Meg is not afraid to show off her skills in order to keep up with her brothers.  She started this tubing trip beside Danny . . . as you can see, she had a hard time sitting still!  There was flipping and twirling and of course, DANCING!

From now on I think I will ride with Cole!  CJ makes me too nervous with his wild tricks and need for speed!

Even Grandpa got in on the fun!
