Papaw Wallace

This weekend we said goodbye to my Grandpa Wallace. This is possibly one of my favorite pictures ever. The kids will remember him for his chuckle and the small Ziploc bags of miniature candy bars that he carried in his pocket to give them each time he saw them. I will forever remember that same chuckle, the smell of chewing tobacco, the memories at the farm, the twinkle in his eye, the toothpick in the side of his mouth, the naps on the floor at lunch time, the days at the fair, and the example he set in a life filled with faith, purpose, kindness and integrity.
