A special bond

It's 8:30 pm on Wednesday night and we just put our little babies to sleep, but like every other night, they are not sleeping. They are whispering and laughing (and sometimes fighting), but they are always together.

Connor Jackson, 11:00 pm, 6 lbs. 7 oz, 19 1/2 in.
Megan Isabelle, 11:10 pm, 4 lbs. 10 oz, 17 1/2 in.

I look at them now and I get excited. Excited to see the little people they are becoming. I'm stunned by how quickly the time really does pass. Everyone tells you that . . . "enjoy it, they'll be in college before you know it!" and as cliche as it is, it is so true. My good friend Nancy (whose boys are in college) says that during these younger years, days last forever, but the years blow right by. She's so right. There are some days I wonder how it could possibly take so long to get to bedtime. But then I sit here wondering how in the world 5 years have come and gone.

Connor and Megan, we will treasure these precious memories of your infancy, toddlerhood, and now your childhood and every other stage of your life. Your daddy and I love you and we love watching you grow!
