My sweet Cole, 
When God gave you to us, He knew we would need you. You fill my days with chatter and questions in a way that is both surprising and sometimes exhausting, but I don't ever want you to stop talking (even though sometimes I ask you to...).  Thank you for always accepting my apologies with grace and patience even when I haven't been patient with you.  I love to see the way that you light up when you learn something new and interesting.  You are learning to navigate the world without Daddy and I or Connor and Megan always by your side.  You do not rush in, my dear boy.  You wait and watch and sometimes doubt that you have the strength, but please know that you do!  You can ride the bus!  You can clean your room by yourself !  You can try new things without fear of failure.  Failure doesn't define you . . . it makes you stronger.  You are smart and brave like a knight.  You feel protected and confident when I pray those words over you.  You feel things so deeply and sometimes your emotions get the best of you.  Don't let fear or anger push you over the edge, because you have been blessed with the most loving heart.  Love always wins, little one, and you know how to love others deeply.  Never lose sight of this special gift.   You will teach others that a boy can be strong and sensitive . . . and competitive and fierce.  We watch you in sports and see a passion that warms our hearts.  There are many lessons to be learned through sports and you give it your all.  You accept a challenge and push yourself on the field and on a court.  We pray that you carry that confidence into the other areas of your life as well.  You are amazing, Coley...in every way.  Perfectly made!  Know that!  Feel it deep in your soul!  We love you so much!
