Baby update

Well, looks like we might have another little boy on our hands who likes to keep things interesting. I went to the doctor yesterday for my weekly check up expecting nothing more than hearing that beautiful heart beat. Instead, after feeling around on the belly, Dr. Bowen began to worry that our little man had flip flopped. Last week he was head down, face down . . . ready to go. This week he was completely breech. Dr. Bowen confirmed his position through an ultrasound and then talked me through the options. He felt confident that he could externally flip him back down where he needed to be. He spent the next half hour slowly manipulating his little baby parts into the right position. He would stop frequently to monitor the heart rate and make sure of the cord position. It was painful, but he is head down now so it was well worth it. I stayed for another 45 minutes or so for a non-stress test to make sure that the baby's heart rate was strong. Everything looked great when I left. We will be back next week for another ultrasound and non-stress test to monitor his position. I've been talking to him, asking him to please stay where he needs to be for a safe delivery. Hopefully this little Miranda boy likes to listen to his Mommy!

I can't imagine a manual flip like that!! Yikes! You are so strong Michelle!!
I'll be praying for him and his "correct positioning". Too funny those Miranda kids! :0

Merry Christmas~=!

I am thinking happy thoughts for you and keeping everything crossable crossed that the little guy stays in the right position. Doesn't he know how much his Mommy is not interested in a c-section? If you need Evan to come and talk him out of being born that way...just let me know ; ).
