We spent the week after July 4th in Destin, FL. It started out a little rainy but just kept getting more beautiful each day we were there. We rented a house 1 block from the beach and 1 block from the pool so the kids were loving it! Connor found a new love for fish and shrimp, Meg finds both "disgusting". Cole is not a fan of the sand, but loves the water and begged his daddy to take him out further and further in the waves. Connor, who previously refused to get his face in the water, took to the ocean first. He grabbed his boogie board and set out to catch some waves. He would get drenched by a wave and go running up to the towel with his eyes closed. Megan was a little more timid in the ocean which was surprising since she is a total fish in the pool. After Daddy took her out in the big waves though she realized it was super fun and we couldn't get her out. The kids went crab hunting one night and we visited Kids Kountry another night for rides, go-carts and more. Overall it was a great vacation!
