Where to start?

It's been forever since my last post but we have literally been running non-stop since the first of August!
We began the month with our first soccer practice! Matt is the assistant coach and the twins are playing for the Lakota "speedy blue sharks" team sponsored by the Liberty township Children's Hospital. Team name chosen by 8 adorable 4-year olds. The "speedy blue sharks" barely beat out the "golden reindeer" and a few others that had us in stitches! Another favorite that the kids offered up for a vote and the parents could barely keep a straight face for included team "blue balls" . . . the things they say! :) Check out my soccer cuties!
Connor and Megan's cutest fan!

The next week we missed soccer practice because we left for Destin. It was a great vacation and the kids had a blast! We usually travel to North Carolina every summer but we decided to try Ft. Walton Beach outside of Destin. Beautiful! We saw dolphins off of our balcony almost every morning during breakfast. Megan became quite the little swimmer and can now swim under water all by herself. We couldn't get her to stop! Connor was quite comfortable in his life jacket riding the waves but finally shed the jacket on the very last day and swam above water after an enticing bribe by Grandma Best! :) Cole loved the pool but did not love the beach! The sand on his toes evoked tears every time we tried! Here are a few pics . . .

2 days before we left for vacation we got an offer on our house. We sold it with a promise to be out by August 29th. That meant finish the new house on the corner lot that we bought when we originally built 3 years ago and be completely moved out in the short span of about 2 weeks! It seems like such a long journey to get to this point, but as I look back it is amazing to see how everything has fallen into place. We made the decision to start building this new house and then we made the decision for me to stay home instead of returning to Loveland. Matt's career is in full swing and the kids are growing in leaps and bounds so we decided that we need to slow down a bit and really focus on managing our family and getting our priorities straight. As soon as we found peace with those decisions lots of stress starting coming our way. Building a house and trying to sell a house - stressful, living on one income can get stressful and having 3 munchkins can get stressful, but through the entire process Matt and I have truly learned what it means to support each other and trust God completely. I am so proud of Matt and all of his hard work!

I'm inspired by your faithfulness in the Lord and in each other! What an example for your children to see. You two are amazing parents to those children, I learn so much from just watching you.
