Megan and Connor get very excited about the 4th of July because Papa Best puts on a major fireworks show every year at the Lake. This year I tried to explain that the 4th is America's birthday. So after our geography lesson about cities, states and countries, I asked whose birthday do we celebrate on the 4th of July and Megan answered "American" not America every single time! I think because now they recognize the American flag she thinks we live in "American". They always make me laugh!
